A big part of the Val di Sole is included in the area of the Adamello- Brenta Park and of the Stelvio National Park. The trentine portion of the latter spreads in the southeast part of the Ortles-Cevedale massif on a surface of 19300 hectares and it includes the Val di Rabbi and the High Val di Pejo. Thanks to the big variedness of its environments, the park constitutes an area of an immense naturalist value.
The mountains, with their imposing summits and glaciers, continue to fascinate the alpinists from all over the world, offering the possibility of many excursions of various difficulties at high altitude too, there are some ground water tables from which crisp waters gush out with various curative properties that are carried in the thermal centres of Pejo and Rabbi. This extraordinary landscape is made precious from the presence of the rare protected species of plants and flowers.
The faunal area of Pejo is daily open 10.00 am -12.00 am and 2.30 pm – 5.00 pm and during July and August 9.00 am – 1 pm; 3.00 pm – 7.00 pm.
