Route:
We will get to Marilleva 1400 by car. We will take the cableway up to the Panciana Cottage. From the cottage, the path goes up to the Mount Vigo, and it gets close to a beautiful slope used in the winter for skiing. Mount Vigo offers a spectacular panoramic view over the Pejo Valley with high mountains and the Brenta Dolomites. We will follow the pathway to the Malghetto Lakes where we will walk on large stones and then enter the forest on an uphill path where, in season, lots of raspberries can be picked. At once, you will spot the lakes hidden behind larches, firs and large bushes as if they were in a hidden depression. In a short time, after a fast descent, we will get to their shores. First, we will see the first lake and, skirting around it, we will get to the second one. We will sit down on a soft meadow and enjoy our lunch in the peace of this place where we can see the golden reflections of these mountain lakes. We will follow the loop trail again to get to the cableway and come back to the valley.
Curiosity:
The Malghetto Lakes are two 2,000 m high small alpine lakes, one behind the other and very close one to each other. These glacial lakes were caused by a natural morainic barrier created by the accumulation of stones carried by the glacier.
