Before the secular Larches

Arrival to the Comasine Cottage along a dirt road. Hike along the wonderful loop trail of secular larches

Route:

This pathway goes across the lovely valley overlying the village of Comasine and it will lead us to discover amazing secular larches. After getting to the car park near the Val Comasine Cottage, we will go along the dirt road by the cottage  and then we will turn on the right to follow a pathway that will let us go into the secular larches. A few panels with pictures will tell us the history of the Val Comesine Valley, its rocks and larches. The intense scent of larches will let us enjoy this loop track that tells us something about the history of the Val di Pejo.

Curiosity:

The Secular Larches of Comasine are ancient trees. Luckily, in the XIV and XV centuries when mines were exploited in the Val di Pejo, they were still small plants and were not cut for making coal.
