Route:
The loop trail crossing the mountains that join the village of Marilleva to the town of Madonna di Campiglio is panoramic and lovely. We will get to the village of Daolasa by car and then we will take the cableway. We will hike to the foot of the Mount Vigo where we will enjoy a complete view over the Ortles-Cevedale Range of the Val di Pejo and the Brenta Dolomites. We will cross the forest for about one hour up to Alto Lake, a small body of water set up among the rocks of the overlying mountain and surrounded by juniper bushes. It is the ideal place to look for forest blueberries. During our hike across the forest, we can spot the Malghette Lake below us. We will enter a downhill path and, after about one hour, we will get to Malghette Lake and the hut on its shore. The atmosphere is suggestive and, at the beginning of summer, blooming rhododendrons surround it. The loop trail will lead us to the cableway to come back home.
Curiosity:
Water is the natural treasure of the Val di Sole. There are 100 alpine lakes and lots of clear water streams.
