
The Nordic Walking is a new tendency of sportive walking in mountain that helps to improve, at every age, the own physical condition. It represents a new method of movement in the nature. It's a sweet activity that tones the musculature, safeguards the correct posture of our body, that doesn't strain the articulations and permits to reduce the physic engagement and to consume more energies. The technique of Nordic walking is simply the insertion of the sticks into the normal and natural walking .
The technique of the use of the sticks is like that of the cross-country skiing: the stick is leaned at the ground in correspondence of the projection of the body's barycentre. The support of the stick on the ground allows a considerable reduction of the weight on the articulation of the knees, of the ankles and of the hip joints.
If you use the correct technique, you could involve a big part of the bodily musculature making the Nordic walking a form of aerobic training of great efficacy. As the cross-country skiing this sport is an optimal cardiovascular training too and the regular exercise considerably improves the performances of heart and lungs, then it tones and strengthens the musculature of the whole body.
