ENVIRONMENTAL POLICY

Alpin Wellness Hotel Kristiania considers the compliance to the current ambient regulations laws the starting point and the minimum requirement for the management of its environmental aspects.

In particular we commit ourselves to carry into effect measures, both at a organisational and at a technical level, aimed at the prevention of the pollution and at the constant improvement our environmental aspects for what as regards the emissions in the atmosphere the unloading , the reduction of the waste of resources, in particular the waste of drinkable water and of energy, the rubbish ( In your bathroom you will find a bin for general waste, in your room, a bin for paper only and by the elevator’s exit on the first flat a small collection point for glass, aluminium cans and plastic.)

We also consider the use of alternative detergents that have a little environmental impact, compatibly with the hygienic demands connected with our activity.

At this activity we pay particularly attention to the training of our collaborators, so we could make concrete / increase at our best, into the respective rolls, the competences of everyone that are basic for the attainment of the aims for a continue and long lasting improvement that we have put. So day by day we’re creating the added value into the same activity’s organisation.

We have to underline the most important aspect for us: the information towards to the hotel’s guests , information that is aimed at the attainment of the strategic environmental aims thanks to the respect and the collaboration of the guests towards to the internal rules of the Hotel, but also thanks to the active participation to the ambient initiatives and those of the public transport organized.

INFORMATION FOR THE GUESTS:

In order to achieve the stated environmental objectives, sure of your understanding and co-operation, we invite you to:

• Turn off the heating if the windows are open
• Turn off the lights when they are not needed. Once you leave your room, lights switch off automatically as you retrieve your chip key-card
  
• Reduce water consumption by:
  - Using the reduced flush function of the toilette
  - Turning off the water tap while you brush your teeth
• Use the bin in your bathroom (rather than the toilette) to dispose of nappies, sanitary towels, packing materials and all non-recyclable waste. Use the bin in your room for paper only.
• Please dispose of all recyclable waste (glass, plastic, aluminium, iron) using the designated bins located on the first floor by the elevator. Please bring undisposable, special waste (medicines, batteries or large objects) directly to the reception area.
• In order to make a small contribution to the environment, we kindly ask you not to throw away empty shampoo or cream containers from the courtesy line. Please leave them open on the sink, our staff will be happy to replace them for you.
• Please immediately report to the reception of any water leakage
• We remind you that, under Italian law, it is strictly forbidden to smoke in any public place.We kindly ask you not to smoke in your room but to use the outdoor areas or the balcony.
• We remind you that in according to the Hotel’s environmental policy, the change of the sheet in the rooms will happen 2 times a week ( eventually 3 times by your request thank to the use of the special ticket) so the bath linen will be replaced by your request as it’s written on the notice that you could find in the bathroom.
• To reduce the use of vehicles we put at your disposal some bicycles for short transfers, it’s sufficient to request it at the Reception.
• We remind you that by the Reception, on the ambient notice board you can find every kind of information that you need form the use of the public transports, inviting you to use them form your transfers, also the information about our fauna and our flora, the landscape, the biodiversity, the parks, the adopted measures and the policies of nature’s conservation.

Our Hotel is constantly updated on the various activities proposed by the Stelvio National Park. Do not hesitate to ask at the reception for further information.

Any suggestion aimed at bettering out environmental policy will be welcomed and appreciated.
