
Val di Sole with a millenary history at its back, boasts a richness of rustic buildings, fortresses, castles, palaces, churches, where sometimes are preserved some authentic "hidden treasures".
The Ossana castle, the church and the castle of Caldes, the farm holding of Samoclevo in Bolentina, the Museum of the White War in Pejo, the faunal area of Pejo where you could see roe bucks, deers and other animals, the pictorial church S. Maria Maddalena in Cusiano, the Fortress Strino of Vermiglio, the dairies and very more else.
Malè is the chief town of Val di Sole, village of very ancient origins offers to the visitors a historical centre with the parish Church, the old venetian sawmill, the Museum of Val di Sole's civilization. The latter is not so far away from the principal square where a show is present, which you could visit every day of the year, about the cultural traditions and about the ancient trades of the Val di Sole.
If you continue next to Malè and next some other characteristic countries, you will find the Val di Pejo, a little valley in the Stelvio National Park with its little villages: Pejo Fonti, Pejo Paese, Cogolo, Celledizzo, Comasine, Celentino, Strombiano.
Here you could discover the "Grazioli Home" testimony of the rural lifestyle, the Linum course that shows the life and the work in a little community, the Museum of the War, The farm holdings with their country architecture and the Dairy where Casolet and our local products are produced.
You could go also out of the valley, till Trento, capital of the Episcopal Principality, seat of the Buonconsiglio castle, to San Michele visiting the ethnographic museum that takes up about forty halls , the Segonzano's pyramids, to San Romedio for the characteristic sanctuary and to Rovereto for the Modern Contemporary Art Museum, the Mart, a real art's temple.
For the lovers of wine and good grappas you could note the wine grower's association and the distilleries of Trentino like those in Lavis with its vintage Doc wines, and between Mezzocorona and Mezzolombardo the " Little city of the Wine", finally the Bertagnolli Distillery.
In Val di Non, in Segno, "The Melinda World" suited for a gastronomic visit but not only. We must not forget the wonderful and only just reopened and renovated Thun Castle in Ton.
You could also reach Merano, cradle of the Tyrol, with an historical centre of a big artistic importance, with arcades that lead to the cathedral.
Bolzano, city of an huge cultural interest, with its gothic cathedral in Walther square, Erbe's square, where there is a fruit and vegetable market. Moreover, the city takes in the museum, the mummy of the Otzi's man of Similaun.
